Moy and Andy’s wedding unfolded gently, without urgency or performance. It was a day shaped by connection and presence, where nothing needed to be forced for it to feel meaningful.

The morning began with preparations and a heartfelt ceremony at Mary MacKillop Chapel. The space itself is calm and understated, allowing moments to surface naturally. There was room for stillness, for small gestures, and for the quiet exchanges that often say more than anything staged. Rather than directing or interrupting, we focused on what was already there, letting the rhythm of the ceremony guide the way the story was documented.

After the ceremony, the celebration moved to Aqua Luna Waterfront Dining in Drummoyne. Set against the water, the reception felt open and unhurried. Guests settled into conversations, light shifted through the space, and the evening unfolded without pressure. The waterfront setting and relaxed timeline allowed the atmosphere to remain fluid, making it possible to photograph the reception as it was experienced rather than arranged.

The day was thoughtfully organised by The Ella Group, whose calm coordination ensured everything flowed quietly in the background. When planning is handled with this level of care, it gives everyone the freedom to stay present, without being pulled away by schedules or direction.

Our approach throughout the day remained unobtrusive. No shot lists, no heavy posing, and no interruptions unless genuinely needed. Moy and Andy’s wedding is a reminder that when time is protected and attention is focused, a day tells its own story, honestly and without effort.

This wedding was photographed as it unfolded, using a documentary approach to wedding photography in Sydney.
